Upright is a six person clinic in Hyderabad. We see fewer patients a day than most practices our size, because an assessment that is rushed is an assessment done twice. You are seen by the same therapist every visit, and you leave the first one knowing roughly how many more you need.

Six areas we practise in

  • OrthopaedicJoints, bone and soft tissue
  • NeurologicalStroke, nerve and balance
  • SportsInjury and return to play
  • GeriatricOlder adults and falls
  • PaediatricChildren and development
  • CardiopulmonaryHeart and lung rehabilitation

The person you see first

I spent my first six years in a hospital orthopaedic unit, and what I learned there is that most people reach a physiotherapist having already been told their scan is normal. They are not imagining it. My job on the first visit is to find what is actually loaded wrong, say it in plain words, and give you a number of sessions to expect. If I am wrong about that number I will tell you at the halfway mark rather than quietly extend it.

Questions we get asked at the desk

What does a session cost?
A clinic session is Rs 700 and the first visit, which runs a full hour, is Rs 900. A home visit is Rs 1,200 within 12 km. A video follow up is Rs 400.
Are there packages?
Ten clinic sessions are Rs 6,000, valid for three months. We will not sell you a package before the assessment, because until then neither of us knows how many sessions you need.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You can walk in or message us directly. If we think you need a scan or an orthopaedic opinion before we start, we will say so and tell you why.
Do you take insurance?
Outpatient physiotherapy is rarely covered by Indian health policies, so most patients pay cash, card or UPI at the clinic. We give a stamped receipt and a treatment summary for any reimbursement or corporate claim you want to file.
How long is a session and how often will I come?
Forty five minutes for a treatment session, an hour for the first assessment. Most conditions start at three visits a week and drop to one as you improve.
How many sessions before I feel a difference?
For most back and neck pain, something changes within four to six sessions. Post surgical and neurological recovery is measured in months, not sessions, and we will say that at the start rather than at session twenty.
How far do you travel for home visits?
Up to 12 km from the clinic, which covers most of west and central Hyderabad. Message us your area and we will tell you straight away whether it is inside the radius.
Which languages do you speak?
Telugu, Hindi, English and Urdu. Every therapist here speaks at least three of them.
What should I wear?
Loose clothes you can move in, and shorts or a track pant if the problem is in your knee, hip or lower back. If you are coming from work, there is a room to change in.
